The site itself (captured here) was a marvel, but behind
the scenes, it's even more impressive. The private maintenance area that I built
enabled all authorized parties to add new product lines, discount software bundles,
manage customer licenses, and extract even more statistics and reports. It also
enabled technical support to view the entire history of a customer, release their
licenses when required, generate upgrades, submit new information for the online
FAQs, etc.
Additionally, I implemented TestTrack, a web-based bug tracking system, and developed
several interface programs into its database, providing automatically generated
exception reports to management to notify when tech support requirements were not being
met.
Daily and weekly reports on all sorts of statistics were automatically generated and
emailed to all appropriate parties.
Every aspect of the company's business could be managed and monitored through this
comprehensive maintenance area that was conceived, designed, and built entirely by me.
